Submit Your Innovations to the ABinBev Africa Sustainability Challenge

Innovation and technology are solving most of the world’s core challenges today such as climate change, agriculture, space, transportation and others.

Currently, world population stats show that youth make up 80% of the population and most of them are below 14 years old. That means in the next 20 years, it is these youth that will be responsible for this world. It is our responsibility to hand it to them in a better state and to nurture them to take care of it.

The next wave of solutions is coming from Africa, Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB Inbev) launched its 2025 Sustainability Goals to help drive the company and like-minded people to implement positive change that will last for more than 100 years to come.

The company calls on top minds from Africa to come together and develop solutions to the continent’s most pressing challenges. The best solutions could win the bright minds a trip to Africa’s very own Sillicon Savannah in Nairobi Kenya and a chance to compete in the global stage at AB InBev’s New York Accelerator.

What do you have to do?

Create a solution to any one of these 5 pillars:

  1. Smart agriculture challenge
  2. Water stewardship challenge
  3. Climate action challenge
  4. Circular packaging challenge
  5. Entrepreneurship challenge

You should read more about each pillar on the website before you apply since each has a detailed approach to a specific challenge that must align with the sustainability goals.

When you are ready, go to the application form and upload your 1-minute pitch video then submit the completed application. You will receive feedback in at least 8 weeks.

The best 25 solutions will be chosen to go to South Africa for an acceleration bootcamp after which the top 15 winners will win a trip to Silicone Savannah in Nairobi, Kenya and will enter into a running to attend the global accelerator in New York.
